Xbox One S (Indian Variant) - Review after 8 months - Top 10 points

Why I'm writing this? It's a 20-18! Xbox One S isn't old? Yeah, lots of questions, right? I'm writing answers to all your questions below. Please do check out. My first review and post.

I'm writing this because I own and playing with this console for the past 8 months. Practically I'm eligible to the write this review. And Xbox One S is not old for India. Actually, it was launched in October 2017 in India. I brought it right away. So let's get started.

Let's discuss the top 10 points

Pros:

1. Performance: 
Xbox One S can play any game out there in 2018, you throw at it. I could say performance is top notch. I never faced any hiccups or lags in the past 8 months. Good to know that it can render 4k videos if you have 4k TV, test this out. UI is top notch from Microsoft Xbox and friendly to use.

2. Online Multiplayer:
If you are a multiplayer guy, Xbox One S is the right console for you. In-house games like Halo, Gears of War, PUBG, Forza Horizon and many more titles are out there. Gaming experience is amazing on Xbox.

3. Sharing:
Xbox allows gamers to share their digital edition games, subscriptions and a lot more. Xbox store is known for the best offers on the big titles out there. So if you plan on buying one, make sure your friends own one. With Xbox One S, you can pretty much save a lot of bucks.

4. Entertainment: 
Xbox One S is the go-to place for all your entertainment needs. Right from casting your device, in-house apps for all streaming services like Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and lots more. Allows you to connect your HDD, to store games and view media content. Definite replacement for the set-top box.

5. Price:
Xbox One S is the most affordable console you can buy in India in 2018. Starting at 22k, making it competitive price to other consoles out there.   


Cons: 

6. Controller:
Button placements are aligned with industry standards but vibration motor isn't that vibrant. It does matter when it comes to gaming. If you are a moderate to heavy user, you will face thumb grip getting cut off in a few months.

7. Color:
Does color matter? I would say yes, in India. It is tiresome to keep it white all the time, need cleaning every single day and we are not getting any special edition in India right now. If you plan on buying Xbox One S, I would recommend buying skin with it.

8. Subscription: 
There is a fee for everything you do on Xbox. Yeah, you need Xbox Live Gold subscription to play the online multiplayer game. It is 4k bucks for a year, is definitely a big deal. I would recommend you to buy Xbox along with your friend.

9. In-house FPS:
Yes, there aren't many in-house titles if you are FPS guy. Even Xbox is facing this issue for a very long time. Note that the third party developers are producing some awesome titles, I wouldn't complain much. Just in case if you want in-house FPS right now, this is not the right console for you. From E3 2018, we know that Xbox is addressing this issue so we can expect more titles in near future.

10. Data consumption: 
With Xbox One S in India, you had to rely more on internet connection and with more data. You wouldn't find more physical discs offline and title you want with pocket-friendly price or offers that go with it. The only option left with us is the digital edition from Xbox Store, which will require loads of data. To give you perspective, the game like PUBG will eat 10+ GB of space and there are updates which will come after that.

Conclusion:
Overall, Xbox One S is the console with best gaming experience for the most affordable price in the Indian market on 2018. It will definitely unleash the gamer in you and I would recommend the Xbox One S.
